The business tier can also be used to reset a user account. This requires stopping the CAREWare Business Tier Server service, so users will need to be logged out to use this option.
To reset a user account using the CW Admin, follow the instructions here:
- Go to C:\Program Files\CAREWare Business Tier.
- Right click CW Admin.
- Click Run as Administrator.
- Press Stop Server.
- Click Common Storage Settings.
- Click cmm_st_pk to set the list to alphabetical order.
- Scroll to ResetLockoutAndPasswordForUser in the cmm_st_pk column.
- In the cmm_st_text column next to the ResetLockoutAndPasswordForUser, enter the user account you want to unlock
- Click any column/row to save the change.
- Click Server Settings.
- Click Start Server.
- Log in to CAREWare using the locked account.
- The user is prompted to provide a new password.
- Once the password is reset, the user is prompted to log in again.
